At The Handmade Kitchen Company, we are extremely pleased to be able to supply and install the Quooker boiling tap in your handmade kitchen. The Quooker boiling tap is a true revolution to the home and was invented by Henri Petreri in the 1970s, where he was involved in a project to develop instant soup but soon realised afterwards what was missing… instant boiling water.
Henri developed the Quooker Basic in 1992, the Classic in 1977, the Design in 1998 and the Modern in 2005. As the years went on and technology developed the Quooker Fusion was launched in 2012, and 2017, the brand new Quooker Flex – a boiling water tap and mixing tap in one. In 2019, the Classic Collection entered the world of Quooker – an all-around tap to suit many homes and lifestyles with all the same advantages. Since then, the Quooker CUBE has been released and is an innovation developed to dispense sparkling and filtered water straight from the tap. It is a great step forward in helping the environment and saving money in the long run, as it has been designed to remove the need to purchase bottled water.
Quooker has transformed the way people use water in their kitchen, making everyday tasks quicker, safer, and more energy-efficient. Its history is a testament to the power of innovation and just one idea has had a huge impact on the entire industry.
In this blog, we will look at some of our kitchen projects including the instant hot water taps and how they fit within the design and layout. We hope we can give you the starting base when it comes to designing your kitchen with a Quooker tap.
Essex Project
Getting the sink area right was super important for our client. A Quooker tap was a must and something that was at the top of the kitchen wishlist, making a cup of tea so much easier with the instant boiling water. Our client wanted to eliminate worktop appliances, so the hot tap was perfect to take the place of a kettle.

Chalfont St Giles Project
The sink area is strategically placed beneath the beautiful traditional window where a Quooker tap is found. Having instant boiling water from the Quooker tap, our client emphasised that it has reduced the time when making the most ambitious meals. The kitchen’s charm has been enhanced and a practical element has been added.

Orsett Project
The pièce de résistance in this kitchen design is the sink run. It’s been designed to be a beautiful showstopper with a brass sink, the Quooker tap and Macchia Vecchia Ascale Porcelain splashback. Each element plays an important part and looks sensational.

Islington Project
The entertaining space we designed in Islington features not just one Quooker tap but two! The first one is positioned perfectly amongst the kitchen island and the second one is found behind handsome cabinetry in the breakfast pantry. Our client’s cooking experience has just got that much better!

Essex Project
A kitchen isn’t complete without a Shaws of Darwen sink, but when it has a Quooker tap added, it’s the best sink area we have ever seen. Along the galley layout, we find the Quooker and Cube which provide chilled and sparkling water at the push of a button.

Elstree Project
Our client chose to have two sink areas in their kitchen design and it doesn’t go unnoticed, supporting our client in doing different tasks for the day. The island is where the Quooker lies with an added Cube for filtered chilled and sparkling water. As the kitchen island serves as the entertainment hub, the sink area found here is perfect for providing hot drinks in no time at all and adding fresh sparkling water to delicious, refreshing drinks.

Hutton Project
Adding to the practicality of this stunning kitchen design is where we added a Quooker tap and drip tray to create a cute little tea station that our client always dreamed of. It soon became a handy and practical feature with a cabinet above where mugs and other drink essentials are stored.

Islington Project
When it comes to the kitchen design the sink area is often overlooked and when it comes to being designed like this spectacular set up it needs to be talked about more often. The craze of a flush windowsill has become popular in the world of kitchen design and this is exactly what our client chose with a Quooker tap complementing it.

Kensington Project
In this luxurious space in Kensington, our client gave us a clear idea of how they wanted their kitchen style to look and adding the Quooker in gold with the added accessories instantly added grandeur to the space, while maintaining a balanced and understated presence.

Sandy Project
Flush windowsills are a lovely detail and something you don’t see often. Our client wanted to add as much natural light as possible to their grand space and came up with the idea to seamlessly run the worktop through to the window ledge – this was an idea from a previous project. This breathtaking piece of the puzzle is completed with a Quooker tap.
