Bespoke Wine Rooms & Walk-In Cellars
A bespoke wine room is a calm, considered space for storing and showing the wines you love. We design and hand-build them to suit collectors and casual enthusiasts alike: from a single glazed wine room set off the kitchen, to a full walk-in cellar with climate-controlled racking, tasting space and integrated lighting. Each is hand-built in our Essex workshop and installed by our own joiners.
We work across Essex, Hertfordshire and north London, with selected projects further afield in Cambridge and the wider Home Counties. Each design is shaped around your collection size, the storage conditions you need and the look you want, from understated and timber-rich to fully showcase.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is a bespoke wine room different from a wine cabinet?
A wine cabinet is a single piece of furniture, usually freestanding and limited in capacity. A bespoke wine room is a dedicated space, often walk-in, where the racking, lighting, glazing and climate control are all designed around your wines and the architecture of the room itself. The difference is comfortable storage of dozens of bottles versus hundreds or thousands.
Do you supply climate-controlled racking?
Yes. Where conditions require it, we specify proper climate control: temperature, humidity and lighting that keeps wine in good condition long-term. We will advise on whether your space genuinely needs it or whether a passive cellar will do the job.
Where can you install a walk-in wine cellar?
We have installed wine rooms in basements, utility re-fits, glazed extensions, redundant pantries and under-stair spaces. As long as there is sound flooring and a feasible run for ventilation and cooling, almost any space can become a wine room.
How long does a wine room project take?
Most projects run twelve to sixteen weeks from final design sign-off, with installation typically two to three weeks on site. Walk-in cellars with complex glazing or climate plant can take longer; we will plan dates around your wider build programme.
