Traditional Raised Shaker Kitchen & Utility 96 – Sandy
We give you a warm welcome to this delightful location in Sandy, where the property was built in 1976 to an individual design. What you will see is a well-proportioned room with high ceilings which is the perfect place for a handmade kitchen! Our clients also commissioned a sleek new extension that artfully blended the old with the new and was designed to forge a stronger connection to the outdoors with floor-to-ceiling windows on either side and a glass roof.
Since our lovely clients moved into their forever home, the last year has been non-stop with the renovation works and each room has been designed with love and attention to detail. Before moving in, the property was neglected and needed some TLC. Fast forward to a year in the making, this property is now our client’s dream family home. We worked with interior designer Rita at Black Square Interiors on this project.
When it came to the kitchen style, the couple set their hearts on our Traditional shaker with a raised panel. It’s such a beautiful design concept and even more so when seen in a room of this size.
In our own words – we have designed and created a tranquil spa atmosphere!
Along with our client we have well and truly embraced the current penchant for pink in this stunning space and, upon walking into this room, your eyes will turn immediately to the gentle dusky pink island. This delicate pink is Light Peachblossom by Little Greene.
The key to successfully styling with pink in the kitchen is to choose items that complement the overall look, balancing the pink accents with neutrals or contemporary colours where necessary. This kitchen project is both stylish and functional and creates a beautiful calming space.
Flint by Little Greene is the complementing paint choice in this colour scheme. This sophisticated warm white is a pure mineral, beautiful in kitchens and combines with many hues on the colour spectrum.
As well as working around the idyllic views, the kitchen layout is centred around this larger-than-life island, bringing ample storage, a centralised cooking space and seating for four guests.
Every window and door offers veiws out to the neighbouring fields!
Another one of our projects bringing you Neff’s latest design. What other exciting features could we bring to the space? It’s the new colourway, Graphite-Grey by Neff.
A bank of four appliances is designed into one side of the double galley layout. The appliances include two Neff Single Ovens, a Neff Coffee Machine and a Neff Microwave. In front of this is where a Neff Induction Hob sits and is where the culinary action happens while still being able to focus on guests.
With a passion for entertaining, an integrated fridge and freezer were positioned within arm’s reach of the island and cook zone.
Although the island is a fascinating feature the square bay window is truly breathtaking. Flush windowsills are a lovely detail you don’t often see, but when our client saw this in one of our previous projects it blew their mind. They thought about how else they could bring natural light into this large space and we came up with the idea to seamlessly run the worktop through to the window ledge. This room was originally quite dull so adding areas that can bring in natural light is a winner for all.
The sink area is made up of a Shaws Bradshaw sink and a Quooker Classic Fusion Round in chrome.
Combining shelves and drawers within full-height cabinetry is a great way to maximise storage, and we love the fact that our clients are using them as pantry cupboards for everyday essentials. Dedicated storage jars always look amazing and are a great way to dress your space.
Perrin & Rowe knobs and handles in chrome complement the kitchen and a quartz worktop known as Bianco Carrara gives the jewel top the kitchen desires.
Every task is met with efficiency and sophistication with this utility where the heart of the home has been elevated into something special. Separated by a wonderful solid wood door with a glass window, this clinical space has been completed with the exquisite craftsmanship that this room deserves but also so many beautiful features.
Our traditional raised cabinetry flowed through to the adjacent room where one side is designed with just base cabinets and in other areas of the room there are two standalone cabinets. Just a slightly different colour choice on the cabinets in this room – Slaked Lime by Little Greene. This pure and neutral white paint made with a combination of minerals gives a warm and soft appearance.
Other features include a Shaws sink, a Perrin & Rowe Juliet Monobloc Sink Mixer with pull-down rinse in chrome, Perrin & Rowe knobs in chrome to match tap and a Bianco Carrara quartz worktop.
We believe every corner in your home deserves the touch of exquisite craftsmanship and that is why we design utility rooms that beautifully coexist with the kitchen.
