Handleless Traditional Shaker 38 – Islington, London

This traditional handleless style is becoming a firm favourite with our clients and after our client in Islington saw the design she knew she had to have it in her home. The design is filled with beautiful large mouldings that give this handleless design the charm and impact our client wanted.

It was also designed with entertaining in mind, thanks to the seating elements and professional cooking equipment.

We hand-painted the L-shaped kitchen in Farrow & Ball Strong White. This grey-based white is strong by name and strong by nature, giving off a subtle urban feel that is perfect for this style our client wanted. The beautiful hue adds a contemporary twist to this London property.

This space was destined for a bold appliance from Sub-Zero Wolf and when our client came down to the showroom she instantly fell in love with the range cooker. Working with her budget the Wolf 914mm Dual Fuel Range with 6 Burners was chosen. This meant that home cooking became professional standards in this hub of the home.

To add to the robust look the Wolf 914mm Wall Ventilation Hood with 2 Heat Lamps sits above for perfect ventilation.

We always make sure at Handmade Kitchen Company that your needs and wants are a priority. Our aim is to create a space that fits your lifestyle. Our client had the vision of incorporating a TV into the design but didn’t want it to take up too much space. We came up with a clever cabinetry idea that the television can be pushed back into the cabinets, utilizing the space and giving a fabulous finish.

On the other side of this luxurious space, we designed an L-shaped Banquette, totally bespoke to match the cabinetry and area, as well as tie the room altogether. This family space is definitely elegant and warm. Check out that solid table that is so chic and the antique mirror set within the panelled wall. Mirrors in the kitchen are great for reflecting light making it feel more spacious, open and bright.

Underneath the seating, there are additional pull-out drawers to really maximise every inch of storage space.

Our client chose their preferred furnishings and how cosy does it look?!

We have to talk about the sink area in more detail because this element of the kitchen is often overlooked and this one is so exciting. Designed with the Perrin & Rowe Orbiq Monobloc Mixer Tap in Chrome, Quooker Nordic Round in Stainless Steel and Shaws of Darwin Shaker Double sink, the perfect wet station has been created.

A flush windowsill is something that the homeowner doesn’t really think of, but when this craze got popular it soon became a top priority on the kitchen wish list as it’s another way of bringing natural light into the room. It means that there is no windowsill and the window goes straight down to the worktop.

Working with the talented team @ Sharpstone, the Calacatta Gold in a 60mm thickness completed the space. The client went for a full-height splashback along the cooking run and obviously got more worktop at the window side.

The gold flecks found within the quartz alongside those stunning veins are lit up by the beams of the natural rays and the fresh and clean look of the kitchen cabinets.
