Crittall Doors and a Constable Green Palette
You are first met with striking Crittall doors that open up to the brand-new kitchen. These modern doors connect the rooms and bring an industrial touch to the home.
The kitchen was part of a wider home renovation project. Working with Beth Clancy, an interior designer, we translated our client’s dreams into reality within the beautiful village of Chalfont St Giles. The kitchen vision: to combine the best appliances, a rich deep green and brass finishes with our Classic In-Frame Shaker.
Neptune Constable Green takes its inspiration from 19th-century paintings: a rich, inky colour created with depth and love. This inky green takes on a dynamic character that enhances the oak internals and the polished Heartly Grey quartz worktop around the kitchen. Rather than feeling overwhelming, the darkness is harmonised by elements such as brass handles, gold touches and rattan furniture.
Larger-Than-Life Central Island
Centering the kitchen around a larger-than-life island, this central showpiece has been expertly crafted to provide a social spot for family gatherings and entertainment.
Due to the layout and room’s dimensions, the longest side of the island runs parallel to the longest line of cabinets. There is ample storage and workspace, plus a generous social surface that draws everyone in.
Wolf 1216mm Range with a White-Washed Oak Mantle
The focal point goes to the Wolf 1216mm Sealed Burner Range Top with six burners and griddle. Many professional chefs choose gas cooking simply because of the control, and Wolf takes that control up a notch with this particular model, which includes six dual-stacked burners with both upper and lower-tier flames.
A Westin Prime extractor was also added to the design and sits under a bespoke mantle completed with a white-washed oak shelf. Something a little different and something we absolutely love. The polished stainless steel finish introduces a modern element, elevating both the aesthetic appeal and the functionality.
Concealed Siemens and Liebherr Appliances
Other top-line cooking features include built-in appliances from Siemens that seamlessly integrate with the cabinetry and a Liebherr fridge freezer.
These premium appliances not only meet the expectations of enthusiastic chefs but also enhance the industrial-inspired design of the space, all sitting flush behind the In-Frame Shaker run.
Shaws Sink with Quooker and a Yardley Rinse
Adding to the Shaker kitchen’s heritage, a Shaws sink completes the sink area. This iconic handcrafted fireclay sink is strategically placed beneath one of the beautiful windows.
It is complemented by a Quooker Classic Fusion in patinated brass and a Yardley Bespoke rinse in patina brass. Something else that adds a beautiful touch to the sink area is the Heartly Grey upstand and windowsill, threading the worktop language up the wall.
Having instant boiling water from the Quooker tap, our client emphasised that it has reduced the time spent on even the most ambitious meals.
Bi-Fold Breakfast Station and a Glazed Bar Area
Beyond the endless storage solutions is a bespoke bi-fold breakfast station, complete with white-washed oak shelves and a beautiful feature that becomes part of family life in the mornings.
Among the cleverly incorporated storage solutions are spacious cabinets, bespoke drawers with cutlery inserts and an additional pantry cupboard with bi-fold doors. In the cooking area, daily routines are streamlined with deep drawers and custom chopping boards, ensuring efficient storage optimisation without compromising style.
Our bespoke cabinetry is seen in all corners of the room, and there was enough space to include a cute little bar area finished with reeded glass glazed doors. It elegantly shows the beautiful glassware collection and adds just the right touch of playful personality.
Utility/Boot Room in Sardine
True craftsmanship is also found in the utility/boot room, where the heart of the home has been elevated into something truly special. In an adjacent room but a different colour, our Classic In-Frame Shaker cabinets provide an additional space that beautifully coexists with the kitchen.
Hand-painted in Sardine by Farrow and Ball, this silvery, muted blue is a modern hue that adds to the wider colour palette of the home.
Pewter Hardware, Franke Sink and Bench Storage
Found in the room are pewter handles, a Franke sink, a Perrin and Rowe Mimas tap with C-spout in pewter, and Heartly Grey polished worktops.
Our functional storage is discreetly hidden behind the elegant Classic Shaker style doors. Bulky appliances are conveniently placed at eye level, with specially designed drawers below to accommodate the laundry basket while using the dryer or washing machine. There is also a storage bench with seating and hooks to hang coats.
