Designed for the Way You Actually Live
A bespoke utility or boot room is, above all, a hard-working room. Ours are designed around real households: muddy boots after a school run, dog-walking kit drying out, wet coats, laundry, recycling, ironing and the appliances you would rather not see in the main kitchen. We hand-build cabinetry that hides the chores away neatly and stands up to years of daily use.
Every utility room is made to measure in our Essex workshop and finished in any colour you choose. We commonly install across Essex, Hertfordshire and north London, with occasional projects further afield in Cambridge and the wider Home Counties where clients want their utility cabinetry built and fitted to match their kitchen.
Frequently Asked Questions
How big should a utility room be?
There is no single answer. We have designed full utilities into spaces from around 1.5m wide (a single tall run of cabinetry with a stacked washer and dryer) up to large hall-utilities of 4m+ with a sink, generous worktop, broom cupboard, boot bench and dog area. We will plan around the space you have.
Can you combine a utility room and a boot room?
Yes, very often. A combined utility / boot room typically pairs laundry appliances and a sink at one end with bench seating, coat hooks, welly storage and a dog-shower or muddy-mat area at the other. We can also keep them as separate but adjoining spaces if your layout allows.
Can the cabinetry match our kitchen?
Yes. We use the same hand-built construction, paint finishes, hardware and worktop materials as our kitchens, so your utility, boot room and kitchen can read as one continuous family of cabinetry.
Where do you install bespoke utility and boot rooms?
Our workshop is in Essex and our showroom is in Bishop’s Stortford. We regularly install in Essex, Hertfordshire and north London, with occasional projects further afield in Cambridge and the wider Home Counties.
