If you have a well-designed utility room it can make such a huge difference to a busy family’s household. Lots of homeowners want as much as possible in their utility rooms, so the trick is to squeeze what you can in there and make it practical and aesthetically pleasing. We all know that the utility is known for storing key essentials from the kitchen for example the washing machine and tumble dryer. This type of room is worth considering if you want to keep the rest of your home pristine, especially if you have children or pets.
We can create your dream utility room, that is organised well and styled in your choice. We hope our utility rooms below inspire you to create something truly bespoke in your home.
The Woldingham project is a great example of a utility room that gives our clients everything they need and more. Situated just outside the kitchen along the hallway, complete with our stunning traditional shaker cabinets and chrome fixtures and fittings. Our client chose a traditional solid wood worktop with a ceramic under-mount sink and a mirrored splashback to make the space appear bigger.
We stacked the washing machine and tumble dryer one on top of the other, which was popular during lockdown. They fit beautifully amongst the traditional shaker furniture, close to storage cupboards and a wall-mounted drying rack.
Carrying the Classic Shaker furniture through to an adjacent room is where we find this beautiful utility room in Matching Green. Hand-painted in two-tone colour, one side is for washing and the other side is storage and a bench. The large bulky white appliances are built behind concealed doors.
Our Brentwood project was destined for a utility and it soon became the engine room of the home. It has been thoughtfully designed just off the main kitchen area and features floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and a place for bulky appliances.
The utility room in our Clavering project is where you will find a flow of our classic in-frame shaker, matching worktops and the perfect amount of chrome handles. The cabinets were hand-painted in Borrowed Light by F&B, the same colour as the kitchen cabinetry.

Hidden from the main view at the Chelmsford project is this stunning utility room, packed full of useful and space-saving features such as the stacked washing machine and dryer and the pull-down wooden airer.
We love the green cabinetry in this utility room at our Stock, Essex project. The large butler sink underneath the window is perfect and just look at those brass fittings completing the style.
A Miele washing machine and tumble dryer sit beside each other – bringing functionality and low maintenance to the room. Plenty of storage also fills the room where household items can be neatly stored and instantly accessible.
Check out this impressive utility room we designed and built for our client in Hadley Wood. Our client opted for our classic shaker and a two-tone colour scheme that flowed from the main kitchen. Bosch appliances were chosen with a large farmhouse butler sink in the middle, with a rinse that makes it easy to fill up awkward vases for fresh flowers.
There’s plenty of worktop space for sorting and folding the laundry.
This utility room in Potters Bar acts as a walk-in pantry too. The dryer sits above the washing machine within the cabinetry, saving space and providing a sleek and streamlined design. There’s a sink on the other side with efficient worktop space and there’s so much cupboard space for lots of kitchen essentials.
Bringing our utility design to Orsett. This cute little utility room we designed is adjacent to the main kitchen area and flows out to the great outdoors. It features our Classic Shaker style and a quartz worktop.
