How to Choose the right Cabinetry for you and your Kitchen

You can see that in the world of kitchens handmade bespoke furniture is a popular choice with UK homeowners. When flicking through glossy home magazines or scrolling kitchen feeds on Instagram and Pinterest you will always come across a handmade style. This type of cabinetry suits most properties and is truly bespoke to your individual taste and style with the colours you choose and the available hardware.

Being a designer and manufacturer of bespoke handmade kitchens we can make any style of furniture and we will show you some of our popular styles below to help you on your way in finding the perfect cabinetry for your home. You can even combine elements from our different kitchen styles to create your dream kitchen, just like in our Mapesbury project.

Classic Shaker

Our Classic Shaker is a popular one amongst our clients fitting in with all types of property styles from period to contemporary. It features a recessed or in-line plinth which is part of the cabinet itself. Clean lines are seen all around the cabinet and drawers with a Georgian beaded front frame and recessed panel doors.

The carcasses are traditionally made from your choice of Oak Veneer, Solid Oak, Walnut veneer or Birch ply – using dovetail joints.

This expansive space within an impressive property in Stock, Essex features our classic shaker with the doors and drawers ‘in-frame. The back wall of furniture is floor-to-ceiling which gives the ultimate ‘built-in’ look.

Traditional Shaker

Do you prefer an opulent, timeless and bold look? Our traditional shaker is perfect to achieve this look. It features a luxurious raised and fielded door and drawer panel. The doors and drawers can be deep-set or raised, the choice is entirely yours.

Amongst this 20th Century mansion in Woldingham, Surrey you see our traditional furniture with recessed panels on all of the doors with a traditional moulding insert.

Modern Shaker

Our modern shaker is available with multi-panelling for each door or drawer front. It can be designed with either 2 panels or 4 panels with beaded detail around the edge. The depth of the door panels is available twice as deep as a standard door, giving a substantial look.

The plinth is another area where you can enhance the substantial stance further as the plinth can be set externally like a piece of skirting. It fuses the kitchen with the walls of the house to make it feel like one.

For this gorgeous art deco home in Standon, Herts we designed and built our modern shaker amongst the new and old walls of this home. Two islands were incorporated into the open-plan space each having a separate job to do.

The style of your kitchen is a personal choice, but we have designed our shakers to consider the age and period of the property. We have many different projects for you to take a look at and even lots of furniture examples at our showroom.
