This is a very simple recipe that Lucy-Jo whipped up in our stunning handmade kitchen located in Bishop’s Stortford full of Sub Zero & Wolf appliances. Lucy uses a Wolf Induction hob on its lowest setting, which negates the need for a bain-marie style of melting the chocolate for the chocolate-covered strawberries.
In this Food Vlog, Lucy whips up a quick dessert, which is a perfect accompaniment to other dessert recipes.
Ingredients
- Punnet of strawberries
- 200g dark chocolate
Method
1. Break up the 200g of dark chocolate and place in a saucepan
2. Slowly melt the chocolate – Lucy used a Wolf Induction hob to slowly melt the chocolate (directly in the saucepan). (Make sure you don’t overcook the chocolate and keep stirring)
3. Once the chocolate has melted add a squeeze of honey and stir. Tip – the honey makes the chocolate sweeter and the strawberries glossier.
4. Start dipping the juicy strawberries into the melted chocolate and arrange on a plate in a pretty manner.
We used the Wolf 914mm transitional induction hob – ICBCI365TF/S to melt the chocolate directly in the saucepan. The Wolf Induction hob heats in such a gentle way there’s no need for a bain-marie. These cooktops heat cookware instantly and deliver precise control at both high and low ends, all on a cool, safe cooking surface.
Due to the classic stainless steel trim on these appliances, it coordinates with other Sub-Zero Wolf appliances and enables you to pair within the range to create the perfect multi-zone cooking experience. A “bridge design” is also included that powers the hob allowing it to create a single large heating space that’s perfect for any sized saucepan.
