Creating different lighting in the kitchen is one of the most integral aspects of a successful design and something that should be considered. There are many ways we incorporate lighting into the design and in this blog, we will share some of our projects with you to give you some inspiration.
In our project in Hadley Wood, we built a bespoke corner larder with pocket doors, which was a fantastic solution for an awkward space. The pockets doors open individually without colliding and slide onto the cabinet housing inside the concealed cavities. The wide opening of the larder ensures you can easily reach the rearmost portion of each shelf and the doors can be left open for anything from preparing food, entertaining or breakfast time. Because it is truly bespoke you can opt for any number of shelves, drawers, no drawers, wine rack, power outlets, quartz worktop.
To illuminate this impressive section of the classic shaker we used task lighting with recessed lights into the underside of the shelving. The cabinetry lighting comes on automatically on a sensor when you open the door making it an impressive feature when entertaining.
The handmade bar at the Bishop’s Stortford project is finished in Dove Tale by Farrow & Ball which is a warm grey with lilac undertones for an inviting feel. The accent lighting that has been incorporated into this amazing feature is of a purple hue that lights up each shelf creating drama to the hub of the home and allowing our client to prepare those extra special cocktails.
We are loving this day pantry we created in Potters Bar. It comes complete with pocket doors, so when they are open a source of light comes on automatically on a sensor to illuminate the cupboard.
We know how important it is to have a well-lit hub of the home and our handmade kitchens are of the finest quality perfect for a lighting scheme. Contact us today to find out more on how we can design the ideal lighting into your truly bespoke kitchen – we look forward to hearing from you.
