When our clients in Saltby invested in their dream kitchen, they aimed to design plenty of storage to bear the weight of heavy cast-iron pans, dried food goods, unsightly appliances and a home for absolutely everything. Because of the large space, we had to play with, we could include oodles of panels with the perfect storage behind that would create the perfect kitchen.
All of our handmade kitchens are bespoke and designed to the end-users personality and individual needs. In addition to the usual storage you find in a kitchen, many of our clients’ have unique requests for specific solutions. They may have seen these browsing online, flicking through magazines or come across them in a friend’s home.
In this blog, we will show you how we designed the layout and all the storage solutions we included to make it as multi-functional as it can be in this property found within a little village set deep in the English Countryside.
Chilled and dry goods storage
In a different area of the kitchen, we find a combination unit surrounding the separate fridge and freezer with a full-height pull-out larder in the middle. This type of bespoke unit allows the chilled and dry goods to be in one place and accommodates stock too. It helps zone off the open-plan space and becomes a wonderful feature within the kitchen design.
Hoover storage
What about a handy spot for the hoover?
Why not design a special cupboard within your layout to fit this handy household appliance and other items such as a mop and dog food. This floor-to-ceiling slim unit is part of the fitted furniture of panels and is finished with a brass handle to complete the look.
This kitchen is all about the panels and we think it’s delightful!⠀
Crockery storage
Featuring along one side of the kitchen layout dovetailed drawers built from a high-quality solid wood are used for the crockery. Whether you choose solid wood, solid pine, solid walnut or something else, you will get a quality dovetail joint.
These types of drawers are built for superior strength and durability, remember they will be opened, closed and loaded up more than the doors in your kitchen, so it is important to feature a strong construction.
This crockery drawer features a pegboard to keep the plates and bowls sitting perfectly and organised without them clattering. The pegs can be adjusted to each sized plate or bowl. They are so convenient and easy to use.
Pan storage
Having everything you need to hand is how you can create the ultimate multi-functional hub of the home, and likewise, when it’s not in use it has a home.
Set within the kitchen island, reinforced pan drawers are positioned directly opposite the range cooker for instant accessibility and convenience.
Condiment drawer
How about a slim drawer that’s dedicated to your favourite condiments? Keep the sauces within easy reach and all in one place with double the storage and made from quality materials.
