In this 20th Century mansion, our traditional shaker furniture was chosen to beautifully flow around the home and provide our client with lovingly handcrafted cabinets for many years to come. Due to the size of the property, our client was fortunate enough to have designed a walk-in pantry that flows from the main kitchen area to another room that can be used for prep, storage and tidying up. In the main kitchen and to add something a little different to the design of this home, a truly bespoke glass pantry with arched doors and glass shelves is seen along the window side. It has been used for storing glass jars in a neat and tidy way that works beautifully with the whole traditional aesthetics.
Let’s have a look at them in more detail.
Glass Arched Pantry
This glass arched pantry will be sure to grab your attention. Designed amongst those wonderful traditional styled windows it’s the perfect home for those glass storage jars filled with herbs and spices. It fits perfectly on top of the Polaris White Quartzite worktops with gorgeous arched doors in a solid traditional frame and is made to open with ease.
It’s completed with an aged latch finished in chrome and it is hand-painted in a harmonious, rounded and richly blended green tone, known as Weald Green by Fired Earth. The spotlights inside light up the whole pantry making it an easy choice when those nights are drawing in and they offer the room a mood light when in the middle of entertaining.
This is very different to previous pantry cupboards we have designed and it has proven to have a wide following throughout our social channels due to the uniqueness of the design.
Traditional Walk-in Pantry
The walk-in pantry is filled with innovative features, from a Wolf Coffee System to storage for stock and every dry ingredient possible. The rich green tone is followed through from the kitchen to keep within the traditional elements of this beautiful home.
To stick to the same functions as the main kitchen we designed open shelves where our client could put the remaining glass jars for storage. They are filled with home baking ingredients to whip up a delicious loaf of bread or a tasty light sponge in minutes. We even added a sink area which comes in handy when whipping up a quick treat or if someone else is in the main kitchen.
There’s lots of worktop space flowing around that’s ideal for what this walk-in pantry will be used for.
