Bespoke storage is the secret to a kitchen that genuinely works. From dovetail-jointed deep drawers and pull-out larders to spice racks, dedicated tray storage and concealed appliance cupboards, every cubic inch is designed around how you actually live and cook.

Storage That Works the Way You Do

The difference between an off-the-shelf kitchen and a bespoke one is most obvious in the storage. When we design every cabinet to your dimensions and your routine, we can put exactly what you need exactly where you need it: deep pan drawers next to the hob, a sliding spice rack within reach of the prep area, an internal drawer inside a deeper front drawer, a dedicated bread bin, a hidden bin under the sink, a built-in chopping-board slide.

The same principle applies vertically. Tall larder cupboards with pull-out shelves, full-height appliance cupboards, lift-up wall units for everyday glassware, and concealed corner solutions all turn awkward space into useful space.

Bespoke storage features we often include

  • Deep pan drawers: dovetail-jointed solid oak drawers on soft-close runners
  • Pull-out larders: full-height larder cupboards with internal pull-out shelves and door-mounted spice racks
  • Spice drawers and racks: shallow drawers or angled racks within easy reach of the cooking zone
  • Internal drawers within drawers: a clever way to add a shallow drawer inside a deeper one
  • Bespoke chopping-board and tray storage: vertical dividers sized to your boards and trays
  • Concealed bin storage: integrated under-sink or in-island bins with multiple compartments
  • Boot bench, dog feeding station, recycling cupboard: planned to suit the household

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between drawers and pull-out cabinets for storage?

Deep dovetail drawers are usually the best storage in a bespoke kitchen. You can see everything in one glance, lift heavier items more easily, and the soft-close runners mean nothing slams. Pull-out cabinets and larders are right for tall storage and for door-mounted spice racks where the items are smaller and need vertical sorting.

Can you design storage around our specific appliances or crockery?

Yes. We measure your large pans, dinner plates, tray sizes, food processor, and anything else you want to store, and we draw the dividers, shelves and drawer sizes to suit. This is one of the most satisfying parts of working bespoke.

How do you handle awkward corner units?

We rarely use plain corner units in bespoke kitchens. Instead we use either a full-pivot corner pull-out system, a magic corner unit, or we plan the layout so the corner becomes a tall larder or a feature cabinet with its own purpose.

Can you build in a hidden walk-in pantry?

Yes. A concealed door-front opening into a walk-in pantry is one of the most rewarding features we build. Read more on our pantries page for full detail.

Is bespoke storage suitable for smaller kitchens too?

Especially so. In smaller kitchens, every cubic inch matters, and that’s where bespoke storage earns its keep. We routinely design hard-working bespoke storage into kitchens from 3m runs upward.
