To add to the bespoke features in this classic shaker located in Hadley Wood, we built a bookcase to make use of the wall space that flows round to the new extension. We normally design dressers for drinks and glasses, so to be able to design a complete bookshelf was an absolute pleasure.
Choosing a handmade kitchen allows you to incorporate absolutely anything possible into the available space, and as our kitchens are truly bespoke we utilize every inch of space, considering the overall style of the house too. We then produce a design that is both functional and beautiful to all end users.
As a company, we pride ourselves on ensuring we provide a great service to all of our customers. Your needs are put first at all times!
Built and designed from our classic shaker style this bookcase features doors with an in-frame front and shallow recess panel and drawers that are flat-fronted for a more modern look. We hand-painted the whole unit in Paint & Paper Library Slate V 165.
As you can see half of the design has been left open with shelves and a mirrored backing, that bounces the light beautifully when it hits this sensational bespoke unit. The amount of space on the shelves allows our client to store their vast collection of cookery books and the odd decorative item.
Amongst the drawer and cupboards, we found a suitable space for bespoke chopping boards and a serving tray, made from solid walnut. It really brings the whole unit together and frees up storage space elsewhere in the kitchen for other items.
We added strip lighting to each shelf to illuminate each area and let it become a focal point in the hub of the home. The cold shelf is made from the same worktop as the rest of the kitchen – Noble Carrara and finishes off this dresser perfectly.
