This beautiful kitchen has to be seen to be believed. This space has been used so well and the features, bespoke elements and huge island make this kitchen an absolute pleasure to be in.
This kitchen features many truly bespoke elements such as open shelves on the mantle, a handcrafted oak wine rack, bi-fold larder doors and a glazed drinks cabinet. The client also asked for open shelves at the end of the island for storing cookbooks and other essential kitchen items.
All of the handmade in-frame shaker cabinets we built in this kitchen are hand-painted with the soft black and blue undertones of Railings and the understated stone grey hues of Purbeck Stone, both by Farrow and Ball.
We used many bespoke space-saving solutions whilst designing this kitchen, such as a pull-out wire larder, two very handy utensil trays on the island and a bespoke cutlery tray in the top drawer on the right-hand side of the sink.
We finished the worktops in the elegant Quartz Carrera Cashmere with upstands and window sills also finished in this material. The splashback is an antique mirror fitted inside the mantle.
The large double sink is from Shaw’s and features a double bowl, which we strongly recommend for any new kitchen build as it holds so many benefits when cooking and washing up! The sink is paired with Shaw’s Waste and Overflow kit which is finished in antique bronze and features a double plumbing kit.
The handles are all by Gaumont and we used both T-Bar handles and Pull Handles. All handles are finished in Antique Satin and Satin Lacquer, which we feel was a fantastic choice as this kitchen really is a stunner.
Some more of the bespoke elements we handmade for this client included a solid oak spice rack, an oak cutlery tray, oak plate pegboards and one large and 2 small chopping boards. We love these sorts of projects as we get to let our creativity flow and we’ve certainly done that in this kitchen.
