Handleless Traditional Mapesbury Shaker 37 – London

Nestled in London’s busy but glamourous city lies our Mapesbury design, a J handle style with a twist. Our client Claire Chanelle (Instagram https://www.instagram.com/clairechanelle/) wanted something truly unique to add value to her period property and tie in with the wooden panels seen all over the home. Claire and her husband found us, a bespoke kitchen company that they instantly fell in love with after a lot of time and over a year of research. We met their needs in every way possible!

The kitchen used to be blocked off and not very big but after a home renovation, the space was opened up to give an instant WOW factor.

When walking from the main kitchen area to the rest of the space the large island sits pretty with the oh so glamourous Timothy Oulton table. When speaking with our client and going through the design process there was no compromise about where the table would be situated. With a careful design to not ruin the look of the fluidity of the outdoor views, we created an island with banquette seating for that show-stopping table.

“For decadent nights of sparkling conversations”

All kitchen cabinets are hand-painted in Little Greene Rolling Fog Light – from the grand entrance hall this pale shade of a classic neutral transforms the space.

Let’s talk about the marble, fabricated and installed by Sharpstone. It was the hardest decision for our client and took lots of time deciding but they eventually chose the Arabascato Marble.

Arabascato Marble a classic Italian marble exhibiting thick black veins on a white background, synonymous with opulence and luxury.

The most beautiful stone they had ever seen and wanted a 20mm thickness to give a effortless modern touch, to tie in with the traditional cabinet. Every slab was bought so they could choose the way the vein run in that particular part of the kitchen.

The impressive sink area is made up of a Perrin & Rowe Butler sink met with then Phoenician Monobloc mixer with white levers and rinse and a Quooker Fusion round in Patenated Brass.

Serious cookers for serious cooks… The Lacanche Cluny is the range cooker chosen by our client. The simple symmetrical design of the Cluny range remains ever popular and looks elegant in this French chic kitchen space.

Most of the storage in this kitchen design are deep-filled drawers with extra sliding drawers inside. One side of the island houses the Wine Cave MQuvee in white and a personalised serving tray just to the left.

Claire prefers the microwave to be hidden away so we designed a breakfast pantry for the simple things and keeping everything tidy.
