Classic In-Frame Shaker Kitchen 78 – Little Canfield
Not that far from our showroom and in a pretty village named Little Canfield is where we find our Classic In-Frame Shaker. Built within high ceilings and a barn conversion, this open-plan space has been created with great style and care. The finished result is the kind of kitchen that makes you say wow!!
The whole kitchen design was inspired by our client’s vision of spending time with their family and friends and a room that they will love for many years to come.
Our handmade kitchen in this project is on a big scale, yet it still seems to feel comfortable and homely and has the clever ability to feel both country chic and modern industrial.
The kitchen’s main feature is the big L-shaped island which is hand-painted in F&B’s Down Pipe, creating an extremely effective piece of furniture that looks impressive in this space. It’s met with a Bianco Eclipsia quartz worktop and simple pendants suspended above to illuminate the area.
A beautiful overhang sits on one side to create a seating area and a lovely open shelving end to show off the fascinating pieces our clients have bought back from their travels.
On the island, we also designed a bespoke wine storage shelf and a Neff Wine Cooler neatly tucked inside.
F&B Shaded White is hand-painted onto the rest of the cabinetry. A gentle grey beige that is incredibly versatile within homes both old and new.
It’s the mix of concrete floors, high-end black gloss appliances, exposed wooden beams and soft tones from the solid oak cabinets that make the clever combination.
Our client knew exactly where she wanted the sink area to be in her new kitchen design. Because of the large tall windows built within the room, the perfect view of the outdoors is created while washing and clearing up. We couldn’t agree with her more!
The beautiful exposed wooden beams flow down the wall to a Shaws of Darwin Shaker double wide sink where it’s met with a Perrin & Rowe Juliet Sink Mixer with U-Spout and Rinse in Chrome and a Quooker Instant Hot Tap also finished in chrome.
Fitting snug between the exposed wooden beam structure is this wonderful area that houses the fridge and freezer and a full-height pull-out larder. This section of the kitchen also is where three Neff appliances sit on top of each other, where there is storage above and below.
Other features to take note of are the bespoke wooden chopping boards in various sizes, a bespoke wooden serving tray and the towel rails that are seen on the island.
To complete this delightful hub of the home, Perrin & Rowe Large Smooth Knobs and Perrin & Rowe Shell Cup Handles in chrome were chosen for the cabinet and drawers. This style of handle and knob is ideally suited to the Shaker style. The Shell Handle allows for an easier pull on heavier furniture and the Round Knob is simple yet elegant.
