L-shape with Island Classic Shaker Kitchen 64 – Cuffley, Herts
GALLERY
As part of a full-house renovation project, our client wanted to look at options to improve their kitchen design, layout and quality. They decided that our layout worked best for them and meant they would end up with more worktop space, a large central island and access to the garden.
The kitchen style is our Classic Shaker Style, which is our most popular, with its Georgian style bead applied to the frame surrounding the doors and drawers. The doors themselves have a shallow recessed panel and the drawers are flat front.
Functional elements include, peg drawers in the island for tidy and adaptable storage of places etc, pull-out larders in the standalone refrigeration furniture, internal drawers behind door fronts for the ultimate convenience and an integrated dishwasher in the sink area.
Hand-painted
This kitchen has been hand-painted by our painters using the colour ‘Pointing’ by Farrow and Ball.
The technique we use is our tried and tested, brushed-on technique with quality paints, for the ultimate in style and a long-lasting finish which can be easily repaired or changed in the future.
Kitchen Appliances
Despite being the smallest kitchen featuring Sub-Zero & Wolf appliances that we have produced, this just goes to show exactly how these amazing appliances can be incorporated into any size or shape of kitchen.
Our client opted for the Wolf 914mm Professional Gas Cooktop, which has five dual stacked, sealed burners that give cooks greater control over a wide range of heat outputs from 5.3KW highs to 0.1KW simmers, a Wolf M-Series stack of appliances, at the top is a Wolf Convection Steam Oven, then a Wolf M-Series Professional oven and at the bottom a Wolf Warming drawer… the ultimate in cooking appliances with amazing features, 10 cooking modes and the convection steam oven has replaced the microwave for our client.
Refrigeration comes in the form of the Sub-Zero 1219mm over and under French Door fridge with freezer drawers. This has been built into a standalone piece of furniture with pull-out larders.
What Is Shaker Design?
Shaker furniture is a distinctive style of furniture developed by the United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing, commonly known as Shakers, a religious sect that had guiding principles of simplicity, utility and honesty. Their beliefs were reflected in the well-made furniture of minimalist designs. Wikipedia.
