Classic Shaker Style Kitchen 58 – Hatfield Broad Oak
This project in Hatfield Broad Oak was a unique space to design a kitchen for and our client was keen to make the kitchen individual, which is exactly what we love doing. A truly bespoke kitchen with separate pieces of furniture and an inviting colour scheme.
The furniture is our classic shaker style which is in-frame, with recessed panel doors, flat-fronted drawers on the blue furniture and recessed panel drawers on the French Grey furniture, there is a Georgian style beading to the panels and this kitchen is equipped with a traditional butt-hinge style for a more classic look and feel.
Kitchen Accessories
We used Armac Martin handles, Quooker taps, Shaws large sink and Kohler island sink.
The kitchen has been hand-painted in Basalt 221 and Light French Grey Mid 162 by @littlegreenepaintcompany
What Is Shaker Design?
Shaker furniture is a distinctive style of furniture developed by the United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing, commonly known as Shakers, a religious sect that had guiding principles of simplicity, utility and honesty. Their beliefs were reflected in the well-made furniture of minimalist designs. Wikipedia.
