Luxury Bespoke Kitchens in Bledlow
Our bespoke kitchen design service starts with an initial meeting at our showroom in Bishop’s Stortford. We are proud of all our designs being ‘truly bespoke’ which ensures your kitchen is designed around your space and personal requirements.
Our designers will talk you through all of the options available to you, including the furniture construction and appearance, materials, hardware and appliances.
What does bespoke mean to us?
A bespoke kitchen features an unrestricted design, with a choice of materials, styles, finishes, colour and design elements, all centred around your own personal requirements. Common challenges faced by our clients, for example by the property’s walls, listed status or others can only be overcome by a truly bespoke kitchen.
‘Bespoke’ is an inappropriately overused term, but with The Handmade Kitchen Company, Bespoke means: that together we can create your dream kitchen, which is truly unique in the world.
Fully Fitted Kitchens in Bledlow
Our core business is providing our trusted kitchen design, planning and installation service – which is a hassle free start-to-finish service.
Once your design is finalised and you agree to us undertaking your kitchen project, your kitchen will be constructed in our Essex based workshop, then taken to site by our kitchen fitters – who are skilled joiners – and installed perfectly into your space.
The kitchen is then hand painted with a brush in your chosen colour or colours.

Bespoke Kitchens for Bledlow Homes
Bledlow is a quintessentially Buckinghamshire village set within the Chilterns AONB (HP27), surrounded by beech woodland and chalk-grass hills above the Princes Risborough escarpment. Properties around the village include listed flint and brick cottages, characterful farmhouses, country lodges and a handful of architect-designed contemporary homes.
Our Bledlow clients often want a kitchen that respects the building’s listed or period character while supporting modern family life: a generous prep island, a properly specified pantry, a separate utility and boot room, and quietly integrated appliances.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you design kitchens in Bledlow and the surrounding villages?
Yes. We regularly serve Bledlow, Bledlow Ridge, Princes Risborough, Chinnor, Lacey Green, Saunderton and the surrounding villages of the Chilterns AONB.
How far is your showroom from Bledlow?
Our Bridgers Barn showroom is in Great Hallingbury, near Bishop’s Stortford. Bledlow is around an hour and a half by road via the M25 and M40. We can also start with a phone or video consultation before a showroom visit.
How long does a bespoke kitchen take from design to installation?
Allow around twelve to sixteen weeks from final design sign-off through to fitting. Installation itself runs two to three weeks on site, with longer programmes for listed buildings or larger refurbishments.
What kitchen styles work well in Bledlow homes?
Hand-painted in-frame Shaker kitchens in heritage colours suit the area’s flint and brick cottages, while larger Chiltern farmhouses and barn conversions often work beautifully with a generous island, exposed timber detailing and natural stone worktops.
What Our Clients Say
Exceeded our expectations from design to completion. Very professional with great ideas, on time and on budget transforming our house.
We had our kitchen replaced in 2013 by Hand made Kitchen company. They did a great job and were really responsive, helping us to design the layout and making really helpful suggestion. I didn’t leave a review at the time, just didn’t get round to it but 4 years on it still looks like new. Someone visited the other day and commented that we had a new kitchen. It made me realise just how good it still looks. That prompted me to leave a belated review.
Nick and Jane (@ Handmade Kitchen Co) were brilliant on all fronts:
– Changes I made to the design
– Paint issues from the supplier
– Delivery
– Quality
– Finish
It was brilliant and the look and feel the best quality… thank you.
We are thrilled with our kitchen. They have given us a great product, with very good customer service. Their attention to detail and flexibility means I have would recommend them to anyone. They were willing to try new designs which allowed us to create the dream kitchen.
I would not hesitate to recommend the Handmade Kitchen Company. Nick provided an incredible bespoke service for my awkwardly shaped room, where no wall is straight!
The kitchen cabinets are very high quality, and it was amazing to be able to have solid wood cabinets for such a competitive price. The installation process was all very smooth and hassle free. Two years on, my kitchen still looks fantastic and is standing up brilliantly to intensive use.
