Features

For our client in Golders Green, Barnet we designed and installed this Classic Shaker style kitchen with a high attention to detail and finish to create a luxury kitchen flowing into the living space.

The kitchen is at the same level as the main house with a large extension dropping down from the kitchen to a huge rear aspect onto the garden with sliding doors.

The kitchen furniture is an in-frame style which features concealed soft-close hinges, a beading to the front frame, shallow recessed panels to the doors and flat front panels to the drawers.

Aged brass hardwear has been used which includes Perrin in Rowe branded traditional lever taps and their matching shell style pull handles and knobs.

A highly desirable Carrara quartz has been used, which with its mostly white tone has a timeless appearance and constrasts perfectly with the Railing paint colour by Farrow & Ball.

You will also see a banquette seating solution which has matching tongue and groove style panelling, tying in the living area with the kitchen area.

What Is Shaker Design?

Shaker furniture is a distinctive style of furniture developed by the United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing, commonly known as Shakers, a religious sect that had guiding principles of simplicity, utility and honesty. Their beliefs were reflected in the well-made furniture of minimalist designs. Wikipedia.
