Classic Shaker Style Kitchen 43 – Whetstone

Classic Shaker Style Kitchen 43 – Whetstone

Features

This in-frame kitchen was designed and built for a client based in Whetstone, London. It features our solid pine carcasses with solid oak drawer boxes. The plinth is in-line on the main kitchen area and there is a skirting style plinth to the island. Beautiful recessed panel doors are complimented by the beaded front frame. Lots of storage is on offer with 3 pantry cupboards, two of which are either side of the fridge/freezer, the other is used for the microwave and coffee machine. The theme of this kitchen is to keep clutter to a minimum with all appliances hidden away and not on the worksurfaces. The tap is a Perrin & Rowe Ionian bar with crosshead handles, there is a Parthian hot water tap and insinkerator too. We built the false chimney breast which gives the kitchen a classic look, ideal for the range cooker situated within. We carried the design of the kitchen furniture through into the utility room. Worktops are Urban Quartz Monaco Carrara for the ultimate marble effect.

What Is Shaker Design?

Shaker furniture is a distinctive style of furniture developed by the United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing, commonly known as Shakers, a religious sect that had guiding principles of simplicity, utility and honesty. Their beliefs were reflected in the well-made furniture of minimalist designs. Wikipedia.
